New Year Resolution: 2014

A quick flash back on Resolution 2013:
a. Resignation of full time job due to constraint in learning exposure -> Changed it since 15 April this year, and got the confirmation earlier than my expectation, the salary has been revised upwards and generally the paycheck is satisfying to sustain the daily living cost.

b. Invest in 2~3 cash flow real estate -> Manage to get only 1 real estate throughout the year. Result is not meeting the expectation.

c. Invest in stock market with a pool of fund with one of the friend -> A great start by second half of this year, that we started with nothing until managing a fund of 40k, through equity financing and leveraging. Nevertheless, the return is still need time to catch up.

d. Keep my mind open for new knowledge and financial literacy ->Have been gone through a lot on some strategic movement and tactics, gained a holistic view on how to improve the entire stocks performance. In terms of number of books that need to be covered, it is still a shame and extra efforts and diligence to be carried vibrantly .

e. Start a small business -> The plans went up in smoke despite had a lot of discussion on the details and execution plans.

f. Change the electronics like pc, hp (once per 5 years) ->Bought a new cell phone in the beginning of the year, whereas there is no room for laptop or tablet purchase. This plan will be delayed to next year.

g. Get a brand new car -> Delayed the plan to next year.

In a nutshell, Year 2013 is a year of exploring where I spent my time searching for the right path to board, meeting up friends to communicate the thoughts, etc..

Unlike last year, I am not delivering a good result for this year. There are many time wasted on the American seasons, movies and games. Still, I spent some quality time hanging around with like-minded friends, ensure that we stay on the right track and move towards our common goals.

All this while, I am made to believe that be in a right team, catching with the right person, doing the right things will definitely lead us to a right path, I am appreciate that I still have the same thought. We are living in a world of abundance, where everythings is within our reach by just a few clicks resulting from the internet booming, It would be a guilt not to utilize on the resources that is ready available. In the meantime, I am glad that the seeds sowed has been rewarded handsomely, especially the trust earned from my investment partners, my aunts and friends, it would be a strong motivation power to keep me moving forward.
